People who do bad things to animals need help

I hate to even bring this up, but some people do really mean things to cats and other animals (and I'm not talking about brushing and denying access to the basement this time, but REALLY bad things). If you find out that someone is hurting an animal, it IS your business and you need to let the 'propriate local authorities know so they can investigate. How would you like it if you were being hurt and nobody cared enough to do anything about it?

Nobody's ever hurt me like that (but don't tell GlennaJo I said so 'cause I've got her thinking that not providing daily liver treats is cruel and unusual punishment). But I've been out on my own in California and was almost pushed out the door here in chilly Minnesota before I came to live with GlennaJo. Now I have a nice warm home with only occasional obnoxious interruptions by my attendant.
